Early Life

Salvador Dalí was born in Figueres, Spain in 1904. His father was a notary and his mother was a devout Catholic. Dalí's childhood was marked by both creativity and trauma. He showed a talent for drawing at an early age.

Artistic Training

Dalí began his formal art education at the San Fernando Academy of Fine Arts in Madrid. He was drawn to the surrealist movement and was influenced by the works of artists such as Giorgio de Chirico and René Magritte.
